John T. Van Geffen is becoming "Of Counsel"

Avialex Law Group, LLP  Partner John T. Van Geffen has been given the opportunity to join the Public Advocates Office, an independent organization within the California Public Utilities Commission, to advocate solely on behalf of California citizens with the goal of ensuring safe, reliable, and affordable utility services while advancing the state’s environmental objectives.

This opportunity is directly in line with John’s roles as a School Board Trustee for the Emery Unified School District and Trustee of the Oakland Aviation Museum, as John has long sought to focus his time and efforts on community projects aimed at improving the lives of his fellow Californians. 

John’s affiliation with Avialex Law Group, LLP will continue.  But effective June 22, his position will be  “Of Counsel”. His relationship with long-standing clients shall remain.
